Lex is an experienced administrative professional and office manager with more than 10 years of experience supporting organizations in the real estate, financial publishing, and nonprofit sectors. She is currently completing her bachelor’s degree in Business & Human Resources Management through the University of Maryland’s online campus, with a minor in Diversity Awareness. She has also earned a Case Management Certificate from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and is trained in Mental Health First Aid.
After spending a decade in Baltimore, Lex recently relocated to Virginia Beach with her husband, their dog, and two cats. Outside of work and school, she enjoys reading (especially fiction) as well as knitting and crocheting.
Diana is currently the Co-Chair of the CE-Net for the Diocese of Southern Virginia. She graduated in May 2020 from Virginia Theological Seminary with her MA. Diana majored in Religious Studies at the University of Arizona. While at the University, she ran for and was elected as an alternate Deputy to General Convention 2009 and then Deputy in 2012 from the Diocese of Arizona, and later served on the Standing Committee for Small Congregations. After graduating, she took a job as Director of Christian Education for two yoked parishes in Douglas and Bisbee, Arizona.
In 2013 she took a full-time job as Youth and Family Minister for St John’s Episcopal Church in Sharon, PA. She spent three years there in a grant position, and when the position ended, she became part of a core team for a local Episcopal Church Plant named Resurrection before heading to Seminary.
Her other interests include sewing, swimming, and spending time with her husband Ben–whom she met at the University of Arizona–and her Foxhound. She is also an avid Sci-fi fan, strange board/card game collector, and weird historical facts.
Mrs Zorn is the Director of EEDS. She joined the school as a teacher in 2022 Cherie is very passionate about working with preschoolers and their families. She believes very strongly in whole child learning: teaching children physically, socially, emotionally and cognitively to complete overall wellbeing. Cherie loves the strong community that exists within EEDS and plans to continue to support and encourage that community. She received her B.S. in Elementary Education from Indiana Wesleyan Univerity and has over 20 years of experience in education and childcare.
She is a Navy wife and mother of 4. In her spare time she enjoys hiking and camping with her family.
