Four ways that Arabian culture at the time of Muhammad formed the context in which the Ummah (Muslim community) developed:

1. Christian context

1.5 The yearning for a book from God among Arabian people

2. The Jewish context

2.2 Torah and Quran

2.3 Talmud and Shari’ah

4. The hanif context

4.1 The hanif and Allah

4.2 The hanif and Muhammad
