Born in Tanzania to parents who were pioneer Mennonite missionaries
Witnessed the grace of Christ transforming people and society in life-giving ways as a church was formed
Christ called me when a child and after my conversion, I knew Christ was also calling me to be His ambassador among unreached people.
At 15 years of age moved to the U.S. for high school and university study
Met Grace in high school; she later became my wife. We both knew God was calling us to serve among those who have not yet heard the gospel.
That calling has taken us in surprising directions: New York City, Somalia, Kenya, and the U.S. in pastoring and in missions administration; Lithuania to help establish LCC International University.
At present serving as international missions consultant with Eastern Mennonite Missions with a focus on building Christ-centered peacemaking bridges with Muslims.
Grace and I are a team in ministry and we have been blessed with four children who are married and have blessed us with seven grandchildren.
