Swift Playground is a coding application hosted on your school Macbook. Within it, find beginner to advanced lessons to work through text-based coding challenges.

Advance Swift coders can code apps for iPhones and other Apple products. Code written in Swift can control Spheros, Lego Mindstorms, and other robotics.

To earn a Swift Playground Micro-credential, complete the steps below and record screenshots of your progress.


Step 1

Open Swift Playgrounds

Watch the video to open Swift Playground and install the modules.

Step 2

Complete Learn to Code 1

Get Learn to Code 1 and work through the tutorials in order.

Step 3

Complete Learn to Code 2

Get Learn to Code 2 and work through the tutorials in order.

Step 4

Complete a Third Module of your Choice

Pick and complete a third module.

To turn in evidence of this micro-credential, make a short video highlighting the three complete modules.

Open Quicktime. Click File > New Screen Recording.

Record a tour through the completed Swift modules by showing the table of contents with green checks beside each complete chapter.

Upload that video to either Google Drive or YouTube, then submit it through this form.
