This 1-credit hour course is designed to provide students with an overview of career options and paths for those who obtain a bachelor’s degree in psychology. This course will cover core skills required for obtaining employment after graduation or applying to graduate school. See the syllabus (PDF) for more information.
Describe and identify myths about the field of psychology and career paths available
Identify various sub-fields in psychology and how to specialize within those fields
Describe career options available dependent on the various levels of education training
Learn about the skills and knowledge needed to successfully apply to graduate school and various activities and experiences that are important in this process
Demonstrate professional communication skills that can aid in obtaining a career in psychology
