Citizenship and sportsmanship goes hand in hand. It is expected that the student will have good citizenship. citizenship is more than just being in class and not causing distractions. For this reason, everyone starts with 8 points (an S). Citizenship will be documented on aspire and if an H is earned at the end of the term, it will be reflected then. If an infraction occurs, the student will also earn fewer points in the “other” category. If a student wants to increase his or her citizenship, they must follow the San Rafael Middle School handbook to do so. Also, the student cannot receive greater than an S for that grading period, if infractions have occurred. Citizenship Scale: H: >8; S: 3-8; N: 1-2; U:≤0
