ABOUT E-CONTRACTOR ACADEMY
Emerald Cities Collaborative E-Contractor Academy is a FREE 7-week workshop series focused on building the capacity of small, disadvantaged, and local construction contractors to successfully do business in climate-critical fields such as energy efficiency, renewable energy, and building electrification. Participants will receive business coaching, mentoring, and connections to project opportunities in the Merrimack Valley.
Location & Times are subject to change. We will be regularly updating the session timeline.
Women- and minority-owned contracting businesses in energy efficiency trades who are looking for the business skills needed to expand their skill and scope. Typical participants in the E-Contractor Academy program meet some or all of the following criteria*:
Women and/or Minority-owned Business Enterprise**
Contractors performing or supporting weatherization (air sealing & insulation), mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work on residential retrofit project scopes.
Contractors in supporting trades such as pre-weatherization barrier mitigation (e.g., removal of asbestos, vermiculite, mold & moisture issues) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Contractors interested in expanding their capabilities to serve growing markets such as building electrification and decarbonization.
Business revenue is within the range of $150,000 to $5 Million

Connections to professional support service personnel in the following fields:

Available grant funding available to cohort graduates
Attend all 7 sessions to the best of your capacity
Follow up with ECC staff, if you cannot make a session
Maintain clear and consistent communication with ECC staff
Be an active learner and contributor to the space
Respect confidentiality of information shared within the space
Be open to resources, support, and opportunities
