【内容・概要】

動物・植物など種を問わず、分野の垣根を越えて、メカノバイオロジーに関わるトピックを議論することを目的に、「メカノバイオ討論会2025」を開催いたします。従来の“メカノ”に限らず、物理相互作用の熱・電場・磁場、なんでもありです。自由闊達な議論ができる、ざっくばらんな研究会として、5回目の開催になります。

今回は、プレナリーレクチャーとして、北海道大学の中垣俊之先生をお招きして「負荷量に応じた局所的成長速度調節に駆動される生物形態のリモデリング：循環系、骨、樹木」に関わるご講演をいただきます。

今まで、この分野を牽引してきた生物物理、生理学、分子生物学、機械工学分野の研究者のみならず、本分野に馴染みがなかったケミカルバイオ、材料化学の研究者もぜひご参加ください。今年度も例年通り「学生発表賞」を設け、学生の方々からの発表を奨励いたします。

本領域にご興味のある方は是非とも、アイデアやデータを持参して議論しましょう。発表はフォーマルなポスターをベースに、予備的データや口頭発表用のスライドを持ち寄っての参加も歓迎です！

The Mechanobiology Discussion Meeting 2025 will bring together researchers across species and disciplines to discuss broad topics related to mechanobiology - from traditional mechanical aspects to thermal, electrical, and magnetic interactions.

Now in its fifth year, this informal and interactive meeting encourages open exchange of ideas and data.

The plenary lecture will be given by Prof. Toshiyuki Nakagaki (Hokkaido University) on remodeling of biological form driven by the load-induced local modulation of growth rate.

Researchers from biophysics, physiology, molecular biology, mechanical engineering, as well as chemical biology and materials science, are all welcome.

A Student Presentation Award will be offered to promote active participation by young scientists.
