The VR Lab is located in Boswell Hall, Room 343. The space is designed to accommodate small groups comfortably, with a recommended maximum of 25–30 participants per session. The lab is equipped with Meta Quest headsets and uses Wooorld, 3dVista, and Yorescape. These platforms support a wide range of teaching, exploration, and content creation applications.
We can accommodate 25-30 students in the lab at a time. We recommend students spend around 20 minutes or less in the headset before taking a break to prevent nausea. A 50 minute session requires a quick turnaround for all students to participate, where as an 80 minute session provides more time to get acquainted with the equipment. Multiple visits can also allow students to get more familiar with the equipment, allowing them to make more efficient use of the session time.
