I am exceedingly grateful for a grant from the Association for the Advancement of Baltic Studies (AABS) for the funding of this project. Their vision of providing multiple ways to advance global understanding of the Baltic nations through promoting projects that inform and educate about this key region is making the world a better place. We all can learn much from these three important countries, individually and as a region, and AABS provides and supports multiple opportunities to do so, in a variety of scholarly and popular modalities.
I would like to thank student IT consultant Anwesha Satapathy for advice on technical issues for the site. It's great to have an extra set of eyes for questions like "does this image look better here or there?" "Is it more user-friendly to make this part a page or a subpage?" Thanks, Anwesha for your unfailing tech savvy. I would also like to thank her for her help in making decisions about what to include in the website, and how to make it more user-friendly.
All photos unless otherwise indicated are by the author during her travels in the Baltic countries. They are taken on an iPhone 11.
