Storyboard: It starts with a phone that gets a call. The lights were left on in the house! A series of events lead to a ball hitting the light switch, at which point the light turns out. The idea here is that the machine is designed to automatically turn out a light when someone calls the phone, an alarm goes off, etc. This could be used for several different things, none of which are very compelling. But Rube Goldberg machines are never great ways of doing things, are they? I added some fun sounds to the final animation as well to enhance the immersion.
Final Animation:
Anticipation: The viewer realizes that the phone is going to fall, and anticipates what will happen.
Squash and Stretch: when the ball bounces on the wall it squashes
Pose-to-pose: I used pose-to-pose to animate the ball bounces so it looked realistic, and I could specify the start and end first.
