How the YCC started

In the Fall of 2021, our sponsors, Mr. Smith, and Mrs. Pratt took initiative in deciding to start a Youth Advisory Council at Whitehouse. Through the recommendations of teachers across our school, they assembled a 'Youth Community Council,' designated to represent our students through community participation and reflect our own city council's structure. Now, after a process of electing official offices, we function as a cohesive council and have already begun to serve our community with our first-ever project- the Veteran's Memorial! And, through YOUR involvement, we will continue to serve our community!
Below are our council members for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years. Similar to the structure of our city council, they will serve 2-year terms.
