Celest Philpot

I was looking through our old family pictures and found a childhood photograph of my dad that I had never seen before. I realized how similar he looked to my brothers at that age, which led me to compare it to one of my childhood photos. Seeing what features I got from my mom and dad, I decided to compare all four of my siblings to my parents as children. Because my family is a significant part of my life. I created a series of individual portraits highlighting their similarities and differences as children. I painted my parents and my four siblings from photographs of them around the age of seven.
