ACC 211-E56N (13293) | June 15 - August 9
You do not need to be on campus for the ACC211 classes offered through NOVA ONLINE. All assignments are submitted online via Canvas and an online learning system, McGraw-Hill's Connect. The course does require four exams. Two of the exams are taken online, open book/notes. However, two of the exams are required to be proctored (and you must earn at least a 60% on both proctored exams to pass the class). If you are in the area, you may come to a NOVA Campus Testing Center to take the exams. If you are outside the area, you may have the exams proctored. Here is information on how to obtain a proctor: http://eli.nvcc.edu/testinginfo.htm#proctor
PROCTORU: ProctorU is an online proctoring service that provides NOVA ONLINE students with the option of taking online exams for NOVA ONLINE courses at home. Each proctored exam costs students just $7.50, payable by credit or debit card, if scheduled at least 72 hours in advance. Late scheduling fees will apply to ProctorU exams scheduled less than 72 hours in advance. NOTE: Scratch Paper can NOT be used when taking the exam via ProctorU.
To learn more, visit http://www.proctoru.com to view the “How It Works” demo. You should also view the “Technical Requirements” to ensure that your system meets the requirements.

You have two options for materials:
The ACC211 class is entirely online. You will set your own classwork schedule to accommodate your own personal schedule. NOVA ONLINE expects students to devote 12 hours per week to this 8-week class. Assignments are due online on a weekly basis (generally Sunday evenings, or Tuesday evenings if the semester begins on a Wednesday). Also, there are two proctored exams (see more information in FAQ #1 above).
