Here are some helpful resources to get you started with your LinkedIn presence:

Princeton Career Services: This site is a great starting point for developing your resume. Use the “Six Steps” to get started, and then read “Accomplishment Statements” to help you develop the bulleted points. Also, there are resume templates for each year you are in college (for example, freshman resume, sophomore resume, etc.).
UVA - University Career Services: This Resume Handout provides you with templates based on your major. The Cover Letter handout is helpful too!
VT Career Services: This site has helpful information if you are looking for Federal Government opportunities. Also, use this style guide to help you with proper spelling of degrees, abbreviations, and other formatting questions. This page lists common mistakes and how to fix them.
