The following three essays were selected by the staff of the Writing Center@PVCC out of the essays that were submitted to the contest. Each essay is preceded by an introduction by a Writing Center tutor. The essays appear in alphabetical order. Accompanying art is by PVCC students featured in the 2023 student art exhibition.
