The following four essays made it to the final round of the Writing Center’s sixth annual Personal Essay Contest. We enjoyed the authors' use of vivid details and clear, strong voice. These authors portrayed important issues and difficult challenges with honest emotion and vulnerability. Accompanying art is by PVCC students featured in the 2023 student art exhibition.
