The puppies are turning 6 weeks this upcoming week! They have grown so much from when I first started!
Dakota is one of our older dogs, and has since graduated/become a full service dog! I got to train him over the summer and was so happy to finally see him again when he stopped by for a visit to GOFI with his recipient today!
Cody is one of our current service dogs in-training and is Coppers sister! Cody is currently learning the 5 core, along with how to walk correctly with her recipient (no pulling, walking on the left side, etc.). She is doing amazing and improving everyday!
Day 11-

We have attached a rope toy to the wall as a way for the pups to play while also having to think about how to reach the toy. They really seem to be loving this and are constantly playing with it!
Murphy (red boy) has grown the most out of the litter, and currently is the biggest pup. For some reason he seems to love when I put him on his back in my lap, which I'm not complaining about because it is absolutely adorable! The pups have gotten to the point where when they sit like this they kind of look like potatoes, which just makes me fall in love with them even more!
The pups decided to take advantage of the larger bed and all puppy pile on top of it! Though, I had to make sure that they weren't squishing one another (I know they love each other but breathing is important). They are constantly growing and showing their personalities more and more each day!
Day 12-
Daisy, sister to Cody and Peach, did amazing during training today! She was constantly listening to me and behaved very good when we went out!
Today we decided to venture into Medfield to walk around town and have the pups do some training with new distractions. They all did great! We had Daisy, Peach, Rosey, Bear, Rebel, and Sunshine with us (one dog per trainer). Our first stop was Mutt Waggin where we focused on leave it as there were many new smells and toys in the dogs reach. We then continued to walk around and train more around downtown Medfield!

Bear has made so much progress with his search and rescue training! He is able to find people more easily and in harder-to-reach places! We are so proud of him and will continue to make his training exercises more difficult as his skill improves!

Just a fun video of the pups playing out in the sun in a small area we set up for them to explore outside!

Today we let Murphy (just because he was the only one awake) out of the pen to play with Daisy. He had so much fun exploring some of the world outside of play-pen and the little outside area! He definitely can't wait to be able to explore even more!
Fluffy the rooster is someone who hasn't been mentioned yet on my blog, so here he is! Everyday I have to go up to check on him (and Fluffetta our hen) and make sure he has enough food and water. He is actually a very sweet rooster, and Fluffetta is also a very sweet hen! While I am refilling their food and water, I also search for eggs (which is a task-and-a-half as Fluffetta likes to burrow/tunnel in the stacks of hay bails, which makes it extremely difficult to find any). So yeah, this is Fluffy!
Day 13-
Gigi has gotten so big! She has become more playful and has even started basic training! She is currently learning sit and down, and will then move onto the rest of the 5 core. We are so excited she is here and always makes everyone smile!
Murphy has found a new love of squeaky toys, specifically the pink squeaky elephant! The toys is almost the size of him, which is adorable when he tries to walk around holding it in his mouth!
We can't believe that the puppies are only here for two more weeks! They go to their homes the 9th-12th, however some will come back for training. It is going to be so sad but we are so excited for the pups to find their forever homes!!!
Day 14- Rainy Day = Puppy play!
Due to today having constant rain (I swear it wasn't actually as sunny as it looks in this picture) most of our older dogs didn't come for training. This meant I focused mostly on socializing and taking care of the pups! I helped get the comfortable with laying on their backs, having people touch their feet/trim their nails, along with helping them play with each! In the hallway area we put down saw-dust because it is soft enough for the pups to walk on without hurting their paws but also won't hurt them if they chew/eat it.
I also have been learning how to feed them their solid food as Bridget (their mother) has started to feed them less and less frequently. This also means that their baby teeth have started coming in, which means teething. While teething on our hands must seem like fun, we have started to have the pups use the toys to teeth on!
Lately the puppies have been extra cuddly, which is probably due to them playing around more! Not only do they love cuddling with their siblings, they also love cuddling with us! They are so cute and we are so happy to see that they are all healthy! They have their first vet appointment next week and I will make sure to update you guys on how everything goes!
