May 2025
Here is the complete Senior Calendar of events, which contains all the important dates and times you will need as we progress through the remaining weeks of the year.
NAME PRONUNCIATION FORM for Graduation - In an effort of making the ceremony special, Ms. Hagan and Ms. Mandosa work hard on the pronunciation of your names as you cross the stage. Please help with the pronunciation of your first, middle, and last name by completing this form.
MAY 27 and 28 - SENIOR CHECK-OUT & CAP AND GOWN PICKUP Please come pick up your graduation cap and gown from Mrs. Fitzgerald in the main office on Tuesday, May 27 from 11am-1pm or Wednesday, May 28 between 1pm-3pm. Students may only pick up their own cap and gown. Please make sure you have met all of your obligations on the Senior Sign-Off list as we will hold your cap and gown until they are met.
MAY 29TH - GRADUATION REHEARSAL
Graduation rehearsal will be held from 8:00am -12:00pm. This is MANDATORY. We will meet in the Auditorium. Bring your gowns (no caps) to rehearsal and wear comfortable clothing. Rehearsal will include a walk-through visit to the elementary and middle schools, so we will line up in graduation order, board buses, and then proceed with rehearsal when we return.
YEARBOOK DISTRIBUTION will take place immediately following graduation rehearsal.
MAY 30TH - CLASS DAY
Class Day will be held on Friday, May 30 at 9:50 AM in the MHS gymnasium. This event is also MANDATORY. (ALL SENIORS should arrive no later than 9:00 AM and gather in the Auditorium.) At Class Day, in addition to presenting in-house and departmental awards to students, we will honor our Hall of Excellence Inductee and present the PTO’s Inspirational Teacher Award. This is an important all-school event, which provides our underclassmen a valuable opportunity to share in the celebration of the commencement. Due to limited seating, ONLY the families of students receiving awards will be invited to this event. Seniors are required to wear their gowns (no caps).
MAY 30TH - SENIOR NIGHT at LAUNCH
The Class of 2025 has reserved the entire Launch facility in Norwood on Friday, May 30, from 6:30 – 9:00 PM. Students will have access to the trampolines and recreation areas to play games or just relax with their classmates one final time before graduation. Food will also be available at the event. In order to participate, this online Launch waiver AND the bus permission slip must be signed and returned to the Main Office by May 28. Tickets are required and can be purchased for $10 at MySchoolBucks. All students are required to take the bus to and from Launch. The bus will leave Medfield High School at 6:00 PM, so please arrive by 5:30 to check in. We ask that you not schedule graduation celebrations on this night; we would love to have all students available for this fun activity.
*Please remember to bring all emergency medications you may need such as inhalers and/or EpiPens with you as school medications will have been returned to seniors.*
MAY 31ST GRADUATION
The graduation ceremony will take place on the turf on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 1:00 PM and will be approximately 90 minutes in length. Seniors should report to the school auditorium by 12:00 PM. In the case of inclement weather, we may adjust the start time on that Saturday or move the ceremony to Sunday, June 1 at 1:00 PM. Tickets are not required to attend the event and seating is on a first come basis. Because this is a very special celebration, we again ask that our students dress to reflect the nature of the event: dresses, dress shirts/pants are appropriate attire. Both caps and gowns are required.
MAY 31ST. ALL NIGHT GRADUATION PARTY
The All Night Grad Party will be held at MHS Saturday, May 31, 9PM - Sunday June 1, 5AM. Graduates must arrive by 10PM and may not leave until Sunday morning at 5AM. More details can be found at the ANGP website.

Prior Information:
MAY 19-20 - DAYS OF SERVICE
The "official” last day of classes for seniors is May 16. Students who are spring athletes or who have unexcused absences in Term 4 will be required to participate in the days of service on May 19 and 20. Students can come to school to complete service hours from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM, or they may participate in community service on those days outside of school. There is a form for students to complete and have signed by their service supervisor. Senior Project students who are not currently taking any classes at MHS are exempt from these days of service. Please reference this document for instructions and forms.
May 21,22,23 - FINAL EXAMS
Final exams for seniors will be held on May 21, 22, and 23.
Some seniors will need to take final exams due to attendance or grades. See this slideshow below in the "End of the Year Info" for more information about final exam exemptions.
If students do not meet the exemption criteria for attendance, they must take exams in all classes in which they are currently enrolled regardless of grades.
Senior Project students taking AP classes (or other classes in which they are enrolled) must take final exams unless they meet the exemption requirements. If you are tracking attendance, senior project attendance starts on April 11.
You will receive an email from Mrs. Hagan if you are required to take final exams for attendance reasons. Once Term 4 grades are complete, you will receive an email from your teacher if you are required to take the final exam because of your semester grade.
Here is the Final Exam Schedule.
MAY 22 - SENIOR RECOGNITION NIGHT - By Invitation
Senior Recognition Night will be held in the MHS auditorium on Thursday evening, May 22 at 7:00 PM. During this program, all scholarships and outside awards will be presented. Only students (and their families) who will be receiving awards will be formally invited, though all are welcome to attend. Due to the ceremonial nature of this event, we ask that our students dress to reflect the nature of the event: dresses, dress shirts/pants are appropriate attire. Please sit in the rows marked "Reserved for Students" upon arrival.
May 19 and 20 are considered school days within the posted school calendar; we set aside these days for seniors to complete community service.
As a default, seniors are expected to attend unless they have perfect attendance in Term 4 and do not play a spring sport that is currently in session. Please see the document below for more information.
