We are so excited to invite you to attend DLD 2021 on March 26th, 2021!
As this has been a school year like no other,
we are creating a conference for you, like no other.
We are excited to share the important details below:
Our keynote speaker for this year is Malika Ali, director of Pedagogy at The Highlander Institute!
Her keynote, "Culturally Responsive and Sustaining Pedagogy: Engaging and Empowering Students to Own Their Education Journeys," focuses on grounding ourselves in a pedagogical framework that outlines, in a process-oriented way, how we can disrupt compliance-focused teaching and, instead, nurture independent learners who are critically conscious and are empowered to transform their lives, their communities, and society. There will be a fireside follow up chat for those interested in digging in deeper!
There are a lot of surprises and announcements coming soon to help us feel connected during a virtual conference, so stay tuned and follow along on Twitter (@DLDMedfield #DLDMedfield). A big thanks goes out to the K-8 & MHS PTOs for supporting these ideas!
Seeing that the conference is virtual, Dr. Marsden has graciously decided that any staff wishing to attend DLD from home may do so (yes, you read that correctly!). The schools will also be open, if you prefer to attend DLD that way.
