Building on the momentum of its international community extension initiatives, La Consolacion University Philippines (LCUP) officially deployed its second batch of faculty and staff volunteers to Vietnam last June 15, 2026, for another month-long education mission at Thanh Son Parish. Following the successful return of the inaugural delegation on June 13, this second cohort continues the university's historic outreach by immersing themselves in the local community through preliminary pedagogical alignments, administrative collaboration, and high-energy English classroom sessions with local children. By engaging the youth in interactive language exercises, vocabulary drills, and cultural exchanges—while sharing in fellowship over traditional meals and parish activities—this second wave of LCUP educators further solidifies the university's enduring academic and pastoral ties in the region, keeping the flame of their Augustinian-Marian mission alive on the global stage

LCUP Launches English Literacy Mission in Vietnam
In a powerful display of its commitment to global community extension, La Consolacion University Philippines (LCUP) officially sent off its inaugural batch of faculty and staff to Vietnam for a month-long educational program at Thanh Son Parish. The delegation departed the Philippines last May 15, 2026, and is scheduled to return on June 13, 2026. Captured in a series of collaborative moments, the program highlights the university’s active immersion in the local community: from preliminary pedagogical orientations and administrative strategy meetings alongside regional partners, to immersive, high-energy English classroom sessions where LCUP educators are seen engaging local children with interactive language exercises, vocabulary drills, and cultural exchanges. Interspersed with moments of shared fellowship over traditional meals and visits to the host parish's landmark structures, this pioneering initiative marks a historic milestone in LCUP’s international outreach, cementing long-term academic and pastoral ties with its Vietnamese counterparts through the gift of language.
LCUP Welcomes Samroiyod Wittayakhom School Delegates for 2nd Educational Exchange Program
MALOLOS CITY — Celebrating international camaraderie and cross-cultural learning, La Consolacion University Philippines (LCUP) welcomed student and faculty delegates from Samroiyod Wittayakhom School (SWS), Thailand, for their 2nd Philippines Educational Exchange Program on March 3, 2026.
Organized by the Office of External Affairs and Internationalization in coordination with the Basic Education Department, the exchange program aimed to deepen global partnerships and promote mutual cultural understanding.
A Festive Welcome and Opening Ceremony
The delegation from Thailand was greeted at the BarCIE International Center with an energetic cultural dance performed by the LCUP Senior High School (SHS) Dancers.
-The formal program commenced with an opening prayer, followed by the solemn singing of the Philippine and Thai National Anthems.
In her welcoming remarks, LCUP University President Sr. Niceta M. Vargas, OSA, PhD, touched the hearts of the visiting delegation by praising the leadership of Thailand's representatives and highlighting the beauty of Thai culture. Sr. Niceta also expressed her vision for a reciprocal exchange, sharing her hope that LCUP will soon send its own student delegates to Samroiyod Wittayakhom School in Thailand.
Cultural Showcase and Interactive Sessions
The morning highlighted rich artistic traditions from both nations:
LCUP SHS Dancers performed a vibrant festival dance to energize the audience.
SWS Student Delegates showcased their heritage through a blend of traditional Thai cultural and contemporary dance routines.
LCUP SHS Dancers concluded the artistic showcase with a graceful Philippine folk dance.
Following the performances, students from both institutions gathered over traditional Filipino snacks, participating in lively discussions about their respective daily lives, traditions, and school cultures.
A key highlight of the afternoon was a Basic Thai Language Workshop led by Mr. Thanarawat. LCUP teachers and students actively engaged in the session, practicing everyday conversational Thai phrases with enthusiasm.

Gratitude, Token Exchange, and Lasting Ties
During the closing ceremony, Mr. Thanarawat expressed deep appreciation for the exceptional warmth, care, and hospitality extended by LCUP from arrival to departure. SWS student representatives Rosarin Ruangsrisut and Jiruchchaya Prashuapook also delivered heartfelt messages of gratitude, noting how memorable their experience had been.
To honor the friendship:
SWS presented LCUP with a wall clock from Thailand, symbolizing the continuous and enduring partnership between the two academic institutions.
LCUP presented commemorative souvenirs to all visiting SWS faculty and students.
Vice President for Academic Affairs delivered closing remarks summarizing the day's achievements.
Knowing how much the Thai delegates enjoyed local cuisine—especially turon (sweet banana spring rolls)—LCUP prepared freshly made turon as a special pabaon (farewell food gift) for their journey home.
The 2nd Educational Exchange Program closed on a high note, reaffirming both LCUP and SWS's commitment to international cooperation, global learning, and lasting friendship.

Three dedicated faculty members from La Consolacion University Philippines recently embarked on an enriching journey to Thanh Sonh Parish in Vietnam, spearheading an International English Summer Camp. Their mission was to share their expertise, deliver dynamic English language instruction, and foster intercultural connections.
For several weeks, these LCUP educators immersed themselves in the local community, conducting engaging classes tailored to the needs of the parish's students. Beyond grammar and vocabulary, they brought interactive teaching methods, cultural games, and lively discussions, making English learning an enjoyable and accessible experience. This endeavor not only strengthened the linguistic capabilities of the Vietnamese participants but also deepened the bond between LCUP and Thanh Sonh Parish, showcasing the university's commitment to global outreach and service.

The International School Exchange Program held on March 6, 2025, with students from Samroiyod Wittayakhom School, Thailand, proved to be a vibrant and culturally immersive experience. The delegates were welcomed with a showcase of Filipino culture through captivating dance performances by selected LCUP students. In turn, the Thai students shared a glimpse of their own heritage, presenting a traditional cultural dance and a contemporary dance piece, fostering a beautiful exchange of artistic expression.
Beyond the performances, the Thai students embarked on a comprehensive campus tour, allowing them to experience the academic environment of LCUP firsthand. They were also treated to a delightful sampling of Filipino cuisine and local delicacies, providing a taste of the Philippines' rich culinary heritage. In the afternoon, the students engaged in class integration, specifically within the English Programs, where they participated in interactive learning sessions and collaborative activities. This multifaceted program successfully blended cultural immersion, campus exploration, and academic engagement, creating a memorable and enriching experience for all participants.

La Consolacion University Philippines (LCUP) and Saint Joseph Nakae School (SJNS) proudly celebrate the success of the Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP) on July 18, 2024, a testament to their commitment to quality education, international collaboration, and holistic formation. Interns Jeannevhee C. Quirido and Rica Mac B. Teves gained valuable experience through cultural exchange, professional growth, and academic excellence. The program reflects the shared vision of both institutions to provide inclusive and globally competitive education.
