Focus: My academic focus is at the intersection of history, culture, religion, and identity. I am driven by questions like: how has colonialism, classism, racism, and misogyny disguised and entrenched itself–and what can we do now?  As a first-generation Filipino-American, my research carries a special focus on Filipino culture and spiritual cosmology.
