I am very excited (and a little nervous) to submit my application for permanent status. The excitement comes from my deep desire to do this kind of work. The nervousness comes from my deep desire to do this kind of work. Things that matter can be exhilarating and also scary. Teaching for Edmonds College and in Corrections matters to me a great deal. The day I was offered the job teaching in Corrections for Edmonds College was like winning the lottery. I have always known that I wanted and needed to do something important with my life, something that made a difference and was much bigger than myself. While I came to teaching later in life, I am eternally thankful that I am where I am today. The opportunity to continue this work well into the future is a dream come true. I hope you enjoy reviewing my materials; I have tried to provide a glimpse into who I am as an instructor, colleague, and person.
With much gratitude,
Nancy Nelson
