Request SBA Funding
Where's the money at?
Does your student organization need funding for an event?
One of the established responsibilities of the S.B.A. is to empower student organizations by providing financial assistance for events, projects, and activities that enhance the overall law school experience.
All officially recognized student organizations within the law school are eligible to apply for funding. To be considered, organizations must submit a detailed funding request outlining the purpose, goals, and budget for the proposed initiative.
The Funding Request Process
Fill out the following form by midnight on the Friday before the next upcoming S.B.A. meeting.
Send a representative from your student organization to the next scheduled S.B.A. meeting to make a formal request.
At the following meeting, your organization will be assigned a slot in that meeting's agenda. During that allotted time, your representative should be prepared to make a short presentation including the following information:
a. Your organization's name.
b. How much funding your organization is requesting.
c. The date of the planned event requiring funding.
d. The purpose of the funding and how it will be spent.
The S.B.A. will review the funding request, considering the alignment of the proposed initiative with the law school's values and the potential impact on the student body.
Your organization will be notified of the funding decision, and successful applicants will receive detailed information on fund disbursement and any additional requirements.
