This website has been made as part of the Arizona Space Grant which promotes sharing STEM with the public.
All the knowledge presented in this website is based off of the published papers we've had in our lab (see Publications), and my goal is to make it a little easier to interpret and access that info - - even if you don't have a super sciencey background!
If you are an educator and interested in using some of these ideas to teach about virus detection/immunoassays, see Lesson Plans for a couple sketches of ways these topics can be taught to pre-high school students.
I hope you have fun learning, and even more fun suddenly having a billion questions that now need answers. Can't wait to see what research and projects you put together in the future!!
-Lane
The research in this website is all based off of the work done in Dr Jeong-Yeol Yoon's Biosensors Lab at the University of Arizona. To learn more about our lab visit: https://biosensors.abe.arizona.edu/. Visit the Publications page for in-depth descriptions of some of the key papers these concepts are based on.
