We finally got to paint in art. Each student painted 5 abstract paintings, one of each of the 5 color schemes we learned - Warm Colors, Cool Colors, Analogous Colors, Complementary Colors and Monochromatic Colors. Besides brushes, there were all kinds of tools they could play with and have fun with while painting. Once we were done painting, we did some simple origami and put together our squash books. We finished up our squash books by cutting squares and triangles out of each of our paintings and glued them into our books.
