At Elwood School we take cybersecurity very seriously. We stricly adhere to core state and federal privacy standards including the Family Education RIghts and Privacy Act (FERPA), the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and the Illiniois Student Online Personal Protection Act (SOPPA) to safeguard our students and staff's personal data. Through multi-layered digital defense systems and continuous network monitoring we ensure that peronsal information is protected and used exclusively for educational puposes. From a secure firewall, continuous network monitoring, and rigorous EdTech vendor vetting to on-going cybersecurity training for our staff we actively neutralize threats before they can impact our classrooms. By combiniging modern technology infrastructure with a culture of digital viligance we ensure that our digial learning environment remains safe, trusted, and as protected as our physical school.
