Host Controls on Google Meet
Side Note: We are on the SCHEDULED release. This means that what is being described in the link above should start releasing to us around May 15, but can take up to 2 weeks to fully implement.
Use the tutorial below to learn how to conduct a live-streamed and/or recorded class meeting using Google Hangouts Meet. You can choose to be in the video or just share your screen. Additionally, videos can be saved so that students who aren't watching the video synchronously can review it at a later date or students can go back to review the content.

Recording Google Meet from the App
If you create the Meet in Calendar, you can also add your resources using the 'attach' button (looks like a paperclip) to that Calendar event.
When you are finished recording the Meet, you need to go back to the 3 dots where you clicked 'record' and end the recording. The recording will automatically save as a Google Drive file. Then you can just post it in Google Classroom for all to see whenever they want!
It is suggested that you mute all students while you are presenting. If they have a question they should type it in the chat box for you to address it.
If you have been using Nearpod in your classes to deliver content, consider having Meet in one tab and Nearpod in another tab. Have students join your Meet. Give them a code for your Nearpod session, then have them go to another tab and join the Nearpod lesson. The lesson can be just as interactive with Nearpod from far away and they will be able to hear you just as if you are in the classroom with them. Your lecture and the Nearpod lesson will be happening at the same time with students contributing.
