Dear Parents and Students,
The reading list for incoming third, fourth and fifth grade students can be found on the Boyd website. Please access the site by using the Elwood website address: www.elwood.k12.ny.us . When you reach the district home page, please click on James Boyd Intermediate. When you are at the Boyd page, under the yellow navigation bars on the left is a blue box. Please click on the first link-Boyd Intermediate Library. At this point you are at Mrs. Kossowsky’s classroom web page. Click on Document Manager and you will find all the reading lists and activity sheets there. You can download them and use them for reference. Happy Reading Always!

Library News
Just a reminder that all assigned work in the library must be completed in order to obtain a good grade within each marking period.
We are working on non fiction works and author studies. Our worksheets will provide the necessary information gathered from these non fiction resources.
Currently, we are working the the reference book called the Almanac. We have discovered that it contains massive amounts of information. At the end of this learning segment we will be playing the "Almanac Game".
What a wonderful way to learn researching skills!
Supply List for the Library
Be prepared and always bring a sharpened pencil with an eraser to your scheduled library time. Don't forget to return your books from the previous week to exchange them for two "new" ones.
Suggestion:
Try taking out one fiction book and one non fiction book for your reading pleasure! Practice makes perfect! Read!!
