Connecting to EUTC-BYOD

PLEASE NOTE; WE ONLY ALLOW LAPTOPS AND TABLETS ON THE NETWORK, SMARTPHONES ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED.

As a student, it is your responsibility to connect your device to the network in your own time. You must do this when you’re connected to the Internet; we advise you do it at home. For further details please visit the BYOD and Acceptable Use Policy (Click Here).

Please note: All content accessed via our BYOD network passes through the Lightspeed school web filter. Lightspeed will prevent you from accessing websites Lightspeed and EUTC deem harmful, inappropriate or extremist. Your activity on our network will be monitored.

You must enrol using the following steps (appropriate to your device), which will connect you automatically to the EUTC-BYOD Wi-Fi.

Once you have followed the steps and your device is connected to the EUTC-BYOD network, you will need to login to our web filtering system once a day. Simply run a web browser, type:

Sign in with your COMPUTER login, NOT the website login. You are now connected.

Connecting Apple iPads

iPads:

• Run the App Store and search for “Meraki Systems Manager”; download it then run it
• Accept any notifications, enter our Network ID: 039-430-4434 and hit Enrol
• Accept and install the profile
• We will then Authorise your device on the management console, which will get you connected to EUTC-BYOD next time you are in the UTC

Connecting Android Tablets

Android tablets:

• Run the Google Play Store and search for “Meraki Systems Manager”; download it then run it
• Accept any notifications, enter our Network ID: 039-430-4434 and hit Enrol
• Accept and install the profile
• We will then Authorise your device on the management console, which will get you connected to EUTC-BYOD next time you are in

Connecting Apple MacBooks

MacBooks:

1. Download and Run the installer from the link below and install on your MacBook

2. Next, open: m.meraki.com.

3. Enter our Network ID: 039-430-4434.

4. Press register.

5. In the window that appears, press 'Continue', then 'Install', and enter administrator credentials to complete the installation.

Connecting Windows Laptops

Windows Laptop:

• Download and Run the installer from the link below and install on your laptop
• We will then Authorise your device on the management console, which will get you connected to EUTC-BYOD next time you are in
