To Expand Our Knowledge About the Solar System Through Future Exploration Missions

Seminar Theme: The purpose of the 82nd Fujihara Seminar is to discuss, and gain a deeper understanding of, the science of solar system formation and evolution through on-going and future planetary exploration. Specifically, comparative planetology and the conditions for establishing habitable environments will be discussed, which are necessary to understand the generality and peculiarity of Earth. We have invited researchers who are involved in on-going and future planetary exploration missions such as Hayabusa2, OSIRIS-REx, BepiColombo, Lucy, MMX, Mars Sample Return, Mars Ice Mapper, JUICE, OPENS, Europa Clipper, Dragonfly and more.

All the participants are encouraged to actively participate each day, to stay at the same hotel, and to have close discussions with each other during the sessions, breaks, and free time.

Poster Information

Our poster sessions will be held during free discussion times (11:30-15:30) and/or after-dinner party times (21:00-) every day. You can also freely discuss with attendees (at no set time). Our poster boards are optimized for A0 size in portrait orientation (841mm wide × 1189mm tall).

Call for poster presentations: If you are interested, please send us (Fujihara-LOC@elsi.jp) your poster presentation title by February 20.
