Requirements for Certificate Renewal
A minimum of 50 Professional Development hours documented in PowerSchool.
For those with an administrative certificate, you are required to complete 2 Professional Learning Units (PLUs). (Please note that the state has adjusted the requirements from 5 PLUs to 2 for this year, which may change again next year.) One of these must be from state-approved ACLD, and the remaining one can be either ACLD or LEA and documented in PD PowerSchool to renew the 2019-2025 administrative certificates This will also renew any teaching certifications you may hold.
Please note that for any courses to be counted towards renewal, the end date must fall within your certification's valid period.

Procedure for Renewal
(For Administrators/Teachers)
Once I confirm with the State Department of Education that all requirements are documented, you will receive an email from the State Department of Education regarding (online renewal) this lets you pay online for your renewal. Please note that you cannot initiate the renewal process on the State Department's website until I have confirmed that all requirements have been satisfied. Accepted payment methods include Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover (both debit and credit cards).
Upon successful payment, the State Department of Education will send a second email allowing you to print a copy of your renewed certificate. The Central Office will also receive a notification to print a copy for our records.
NAME and/or ADDRESS CHANGE (IF APPLICABLE)
If you have legally changed your name or address with the Central Office and wish to update this information on your teaching certificate, please complete the attached form. Submitting this form now will incur no additional fees. We must also have a new Social Security Card in your personnel file to change it on the certificate. Kindly return this form to me via email or office mail (please do not fax). All updates must be completed and returned to me before February 1,2025.
