Annie Leibovitz

Born on October 2nd, 1949, in Waterbury, Connecticut, Annie Leibovitz is a well-known photographer who is recognized for her vast amount of award-winning photographs with celebrities. She has also collabrated with many organizations and magazines such as Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, and Vogue.

I chose her as an inspirational photographer because she has taken some of the most iconic images known in the photography world, and has a lot of power with each of her images. It was very interesting to look into her photography because I realized that she was responsible for some images that I found interesting in the past, but I didn't know until now that she was behind the camera.

June Carter and Johnny Cash

In this image shown above, the point of view seems to be taken either at the waist or maybe from a bird eye perspective. It's tricky to tell but I think the two subjects may be sitting down which makes me think it could possibly be bird's eye. Aside from perspective, I notice that the subjects arent looking into the camera or smiling, so the photo isn't trying to depict a specific emotion from what I can see. As for depth of field and shutter speed, it is a little difficult to tell because the subjects aren't moving, but I would assume it would be a fast shutter speed and a smaller depth of field because the subjects are in focused and the background is out of focus. Lastly, the two subjects seem to be the center of the image, despite being more on teh right side of the image. Clearly, June Carter and Johnny Cash are the main subjects in this image, and there isn't anything in the background that the photographer wanted us to focus on.
