Joel Meyerowitz

Born in the Bronx 1938, Meyerowitz believes that his basic "street" education as a child is the driving force behind his photos. His enjoyment of observing human behavior throughout his life has allowed him to create works that are purely photographic. In 1978, he published his first book called Cape Light, which has sold over 100,000 copies and is considered a classic work of color photography.
