Before I took this class I had no background in photography and not much interest in it. But as I learned the nuances of the subject, I have grown to enjoy the peacefulness that taking photos outside brings.

My images mostly focus on texture and depth of field, and my work is inspired by Joel Meyerowitz. Since I am from Massachusetts, I find a personal connection with his photos of Cape Cod. Similar to my darkroom prints, all of Meyerowtiz's photos in Cape Light are taken outside. Which is one of the aspects of photography that I have grown to enjoy.
