Get to know Mrs. Anthony

Hi! My name is Amy Anthony.

I attended Elmhurst College and received my degree in Elementary Education with my Reading Teacher and Middle School endorsements. I also attended Concordia University and received my Masters degree in Special Education and my endorsement in ESL. I have a passion for getting to know my students personally, learning what makes them a unique learner, and continuously learning and growing as a teacher from my students.

This is my 14th year teaching in Elmhurst and my twelve year in 4th grade at Edison. Previously, I taught 5th grade at Emerson and 6th grade English at Churchville. I have also taught and directed our district's Extended School Year program.  

When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family and friends. I am married to my husband Jack, and I have a five year old son named Austin and a three year old named Bryce. Becoming a mom has been one of the greatest joys in my life. Some activities that I like to do in my free time are spending time by the water, watching the Cubs, playing with Austin and Bryce, spending time with my twin niece and nephew, being outdoors, being by the water, yoga, and reading.
