About Ms. Gui
Hello! My name is Lauren Gui.
I attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with an area of concentration in Language Arts and a minor in Spanish. I earned my ESL Endorsement and LBS1 Special Education Endorsement through Elmhurst College and completed my masters at Concordia University Chicago in Curriculum and Instruction. I'm always trying to learn more about how to be a better educator in order to best support my students.
I enjoy teaching, but more than that, I love learning. My goal as a teacher is to help students achieve their greatest potential and inspire them to reach their goals and make the world a better place. Along the way, it is my hope that my students will grow to love learning as much as I do.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, spending time outdoors, and reading.
This year will be my 11th year of teaching and I feel incredibly lucky to have worked at Edison for my entire teaching career thus far. It is truly a wonderful place to be with a supportive, hard working staff, and a wonderful community of students and families. I'm looking forward to a great year!
