Hazmat Scrimmage

We are excited to announce the second Annual Hazmat FTC Scrimmage in Brookfield WI for the 2022-23 Power Play season. Time to sharpen the strategies and get those autonomous lanes and paths sorted before the competitions begin..
It will be run as a true competition with the teams who sign up (max 16) .. Except no judging. And yes! we will have finals too and the winning alliance crowned.
The Scrimmage will be held at Brookfield Central High School (16900 Gebhardt Rd, Brookfield, WI 53005), from 9:30A.M.- 3:00P.M.
Teams can go through the west side entrance of the school for easier access to the gym
Location : Brookfield Central High School, 16900 Gebhardt Rd, Brookfield, WI 53005 - Aux gym
Parking and entry : Please park in the parking lot behind the school and enter through the Gym entrance. Please avoid front and side entrance and parking in front of school.
Schedule : 9:30am to 3:00pm
Team check in, set up and robot inspection (optional)- 9:30 am - 10:00 am.
Drivers meeting : 10:00 am
Qualifiers : 10:15am to 11:30pm
Lunch : 11:30pm to 12:15pm.
Qualifier : 12:15pm to 1:45pm
Alliance selection : 1:45 pm - 2:00pm
Finals : 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm
Awards : 2:45 pm to 3:00pm
Pit: Each team would be given 8' tables with power and space to set up your home pit. Please bring in powerstrips and extension lines if you have them.
Audience : All are welcome, you could sit and watch from the bleachers. Live stream on youtube / twitch. Link will be shared on 12/10
Lunch / Concessions : Light snacks and beverages that could be purchased (cash only), several lunch options available around or could be delivered. Food is to be consumed only in the cafeteria or hallways, and not in the gym.
Safety : Safety glasses, closed toed shoes and tied down hair are mandatory in the pits and in the game fields. This would not be required in the seating area in the bleachers.
Power tools and machine shops : Machine shop will NOT be available to be used in the morning due to the ACT exam happening near the location. Power tools should NOT be used in the gym.
Informed Consent for taking pictures and public sharing: By registering and coming for the event, we assume you have provided informed consent for pictures being taken on the day and sharing them on media and social media.
Voluntary Donations: To take care of incidental expenses, we would appreciate a contribution of $25 if you are competing at the event. You could pay it at registration in cash.
