During the month of March, Family Voices will be offering a variety of learning sessions on topics beneficial to families at every step in their child's journey to adulthood and beyond. Some topics include: what families need to know about the option of supported decision making, an introduction to the children's long-term support program, information on guardianship, opportunities available to students after high school through DVR, and more. Opportunities Inc is offering two dynamic, 8-week paid summer work experiences designed to build work readiness and professional skills for students at least 16 years old. These programs provide personalized tasks based on individual ability, daily job readiness instruction, and a customized "Find Your Job" Tool Kit to help participants succeed.

You will then learn about Project Search, a business collaborative that enables young adults with disabilities to gain work experience through training and career exploration.

Opening Horizons is an annual conference hosted at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, designed for students with disabilities, educators, and families to learn more about the accommodations and services available at the college level. Opening Horizons is being held on May 1st and  Registration for Opening Horizons is now open!
