2025-2026 Scholarships for Seniors
The following scholarships are those that are advertised to Brookfield Central by area organizations, companies, businesses, etc., in hopes to award their scholarship(s) to a Brookfield Central senior.
This page will be updated as new scholarships become available throughout the year.
AMOUNT OF SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship is a four (4) year, $1,200 per year ($1,800 for persons attending Carroll University in Waukesha), and contingent upon satisfactory scholarship/personal performance. (Please see payment contingencies.) The number of scholarships awarded is dependent upon the income of the Trust Fund. Last year the committee awarded 23 scholarships to Waukesha County graduating seniors.
WHO MAY APPLY
The scholarship is limited to students who are residents of Waukesha County and who are graduates of a Waukesha Countypublic or private high school. While the intent of the donor was to encourage attendance at Carroll University, students planning to attend other colleges or universities are eligible to apply. Currently, 15 of the active 70 recipients attend Carroll University.

Consideration will be given to all scholarship applicants based upon:

Personality and character qualities
School citizenship
ACT and SAT Composite Scores
Financial need (only if financial statement completed)
PAYMENT CONTINGENCIES
Scholarship recipients must be full time students enrolled for a minimum of 24 credits per school year and a minimum of 12 credits per semester.
Scholarship recipients must maintain a GPA of 2.5 based on a 4.0 scale.
Scholarship recipients must send evidence of their current standing prior to payment being made for the following semester. This should include a copy of their prior semester transcript and enrollment information for the upcoming semester. Upon receipt of this evidence, payment will be authorized.

The Fluid Power Scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship available to students pursuing fluid power education. Multiple scholarships are available for the 2026-27 academic year. The deadline to apply is March 15, 2026, at 11:59 PM CT.
A completed, eligible application will be evaluated on the following:

Declaration of a Fluid Power Related Degree Program*
A 400-500 Word Essay that Addresses the Following Prompts:
Describe your career goals and aspirations. In your response, discuss why you are interested in learning about our technology and how you believe it can support your future success.
What experience do you have with fluid power technologies? This could include prior experience, projects you look forward to, or applications of hydraulics or pneumatics that inspire you.
A 200 Word Essay that Address the Following Prompt:
Please describe your extracurricular activities, community involvement, leadership roles, work or internship experience, and any awards or honors you have received.

Must be able to commit to attending the Waukesha County Community Foundation's annual Celebration of Giving Event on June 24, 2026
Must attend a high school located in the U.S.
Minimum 3.5 GPA
Must enroll in a 4-year college or university the fall semester following graduation.
Must work 240 hours from January 1, 2026-September 1, 2026. Work must be regularly scheduled non-family employment performed under supervision for compensation.
Parents 2024 Adjusted Gross Household Income must not have exceeded $125,000.
Information
Aimed at young women ages 16 to 19, pursuing education, careers or seeking leadership positions in public policy making, government, and volunteer organizations are eligible for the Zonta International Young Women in Leadership Award.
Applicants must show their commitment to the volunteer sector, evidence of volunteer leadership achievements and a dedication to building a better world for women and girls through service and advocacy.
The Zonta Club of Milwaukee awards one $2,000 award and forwards the winner’s application on to Zonta District 6, which may submit one application for consideration of one of 37 Zonta International awards of $5,000 each.
The Zonta Club of Milwaukee awards are open, and promoted, to young women in the six-county greater Milwaukee metro area (Milwaukee, Waukesha, Washington, Ozaukee, Racine, and Kenosha counties).
The 2026 Young Women in Leadership Award application is available now. Completed applications are due on or before March 22, 2026.
Requirements
Completion of the official application, including essay, (maybe downloaded from the Zonta International website, www.zonta.org ).
Verification of current enrollment by school/institute official (if applicable), or letter from employer verifying employment (if applicable). The letter from the employer must be on letterhead with signature from the employer stating the applicant’s date of hire and job title.
Two recommendations from adults, not related to the applicant, such as teachers, school officials, or employee supervisors, which must be sent directly to the Zonta club or district and not through the applicant.
Currently be employed (if applicable), enrolled as a full-time student (if applicable) or have legal residency (if applicable) in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Washington, Ozaukee, Racine, or Kenosha counties.

2 scholarship of $3,000 for a graduating senior who is a current resident of Waukesha County
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Involved in community service, and plan to attend an accredited 4-year college or university
Consideration will focus on academic achievement, financial need, community service and other extra-curricular activities
Priority may be given to applicants planning to pursue a degree related to Journalism, Communication, Civics, or Political Science, with the intention of pursuing a career as a public servant, however students intending to pursue alternate fields of study are encouraged to apply
1 scholarship of up to $5,000 for a graduating senior from any public high school in Waukesha County
Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
Applicant must plan to pursue a technical or associates degree at an accredited technical/vocational school or college
Able to briefly explain their commitment to pursue a technical career path
Open to graduating seniors who are current Waukesha County Residents and/or will be graduating from a high school in Waukesha County
Applicant must plan to attend a school within the UW System and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5

Be a graduating high school senior accepted as a full-time undergraduate degreeseeking student at an accredited 4-year college or university.
Be a current resident of Wisconsin.
Be pursuing a major in a field related to the environment (such as, but not limited to, environmental science, environmental education, environmental engineering, sustainability, natural resources, wildlife conservation, and environmental policy)
Exhibit dedication to the environment through community service activities and extracurricular involvement.

Active in church, above and beyond weekly church attendance. Students must be members of a Christian congregation.

One-page cover letter with artist’s statement. Please limit it to 100 words. Please include any comment on a financial need. NOTE: Statement may also be submitted in video form.
Three samples of your 2D or 3D work for viewing in jpg or pdf format - 300 dpi high quality (Max. 10MBs). Each file labeled with Artist Name_ Title of work.
For video recordings please send 2 samples. All video must allow PAAC judges to open without permission. File Format Requirements: MP4 or MOV. Resolution: 1080p or 720p. Not to exceed 2-4 minutes. Submit via YouTube or Vimeo link. Note: Please do not send in Google Docs.
A letter of recommendation from your high school art/drama/music or creative writing teacher is recommended and can help your application.
Applicants must be seniors at Brookfield Central High School who intend to furthertheir education at an institution of higher learning, beginning Fall of 2026. There is no minimum GPA requirement. This is a $2500 scholarship for students who have participated in athletics and/or the performing arts while at BCHS.

Cudworth American Legion Foundation, Inc. is pleased to again offer fifteen scholarships, valued at $1,000 each, to high school seniors graduating in 2026. Moreover, we are offering up to five scholarships, valued at $500 each, for those students who achieve a grade point of 3.5 or better during their first semester of college.
American Legion nationally and Cudworth American Legion Foundation locally are committed to educational excellence for high school graduates, weather they attend a college, university or technical school. Moreover, we don't require an applicant to have a military veteran or legionnaire in their family.

Must be enrolling in or currently enrolled in an associate, bachelor’s, or postgraduate degree program at an accredited University, College, or Vocational/Trade school.
Applicant must be of Polish ancestry OR be significantly engaged with Polish culture.
You must be participating in your high school's boys or girls basketball program during this (your senior) year either as a player or manager.
You must attend a University of Wisconsin System school as a full-time student (at least 12 credits), enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year program.
To renew your scholarship, you must maintain performance consistent with the original award criteria, including a cumulative GPA greater than 2.0.
This foundation uses your completed Free Application For Student Aid form (FAFSA) to determine financial need.
Applicants must be a Senior at Brookfield Central High School who intends to further his/her education at an institute of higher learning, beginning in the Fall of 2026. Trade schools are eligible.
Students must have participated in some kind of school activity (sports, clubs, volunteer, etc.) while at BCHS.

The Elm Grove Woman's Club will sponsor its 56th Student Art Scholarship Competition May 7th - May 9th, 2026. This year the Woman's Club will award ONE $2,000 scholarship to high school senior, ONE $500 art grant to a student in grades 9th - 11th and the $300 People’s Choice award.
The community will have the opportunity to vote for the People’s Choice Award during the open house on Saturday, May 9th between 10 am – 3 pm. All participants are eligible for the People’s Choice Award. Participants are strongly encouraged to attend the open house on Saturday from 1 pm – 3 pm to interact with the community and answer questions about their artwork. The awards ceremony will take place at 3 pm.
Eligibility and Requirements for the Elm Grove Woman’s Club Art Scholarship:
High School students who reside in Elm Grove and attend a local public, private or parochial school are eligible to apply.
High School students who attend a Brookfield High School (Brookfield East High School, Brookfield Central High School, or Brookfield Academy) are eligible to apply.
Each applicant must submit TWO pieces of original artwork. Artwork can include paintings, drawings, sculpture, and textile art. If you need a special display (for example, for jewelry or clothing), please let us know.
Artwork must be dropped off at the Elm Grove Woman's Club on Thursday, May 7th between 3 pm - 7 pm. Artwork will be evaluated by professionals on Friday, May 8th in a closed session (not open to the public).

Registration Deadline: May 1
Vantage will be accepting applications December 1st through May 1st for the Vantage Student Athlete of the Month program. Each month a senior student athlete will be selected to be featured as our Vantage Athlete of the Month. Those students will be eligible for the $1500 scholarship that will be awarded in May.
Students are encouraged to apply earlier rather than later as we always receive many more applications in May. The first deadline for the Student Athlete of the Month is December 1st. Next deadlines are January 5th, February 1st, March 1st, April 1st and May 1st.
Requirements to be eligible for the scholarship:
Must reside in Elm Grove or Brookfield, WI
Senior high school athlete; 2026 graduate
Student athletes are encouraged to submit their application during or after their sport's season
Must maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA
Plans to enroll in a post-secondary institution (public or nonpublic university, college, or vocational/technical college)
A Vantage Student Athlete of the Month is chosen each month
The student athletes selected as the Athlete of the Month will be eligible to receive the $1,500 scholarship which will be awarded in late May 2026.
Candidate to be of Italian descent as determined by OSDIA's trustees and selection committee.
Candidate must reside in the following counties: Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth, Washington, and Waukesha.
Graduating seniors of an accredited public or private high school.
