Our mission is to empower all students to reach their maximum potential by using a comprehensive program that addresses academic, personal/social, and career goals. We take pride in helping students create future goals and guide them on their journey throughout high school to adequately prepare them to be successful citizens.
Our goals are to guide students to acquire the academic, career, and personal/social development skills provided by ASCA National Standards including the following:
Students will acquire the attitudes, knowledge, and skills that contribute to effective learning in school and across the life span.
Students will complete school with the academic preparation essential to choose from a wide range of substantial post-secondary options. We encourage all students to have a plan to enroll in college, enlist in the military, and/or gain employment.
Students will understand the relationship of academics to the world of work and to life at home and in the community.
Students will acquire the skills to investigate the world of work in relation to knowledge of self and to make informed career decisions.
Students will employ strategies to achieve future career goals with success and satisfaction.
Students will understand the relationship between personal qualities, education, training, and the world of work.
Students will acquire the knowledge, attitudes, and interpersonal skills to help them understand and respect themselves and others.
Students will make decisions, set goals and take necessary action to achieve goals.
Students will understand safety and survival skills.
