Science of SewingÂ
Thursdays @ 1pm
Thursdays @ 1pm
In Science of Sewing, students will explore sewing as both an art and a technical science. Using the engineering design cycle, they will measure, design, pattern, and construct their own custom pair of woven shorts. Students choose design features- pockets, length, closures, embellishments- to personalize their project while learning real-world skills like pattern reading, fabric grain understanding, and safe tool use. This class builds creativity, confidence, and craftsmanship through a structured, hands-on sewing journey.
