Homeschool VR Explorers
Fridays @ 11 am
Fridays @ 11 am
Virtual Reality (VR) Explorers invites students and parents to explore how virtual reality can be intentionally woven into homeschooling to enrich, expand, and deepen learning across subjects. Together, families will step into uncharted territory, discovering how VR can bring learning to life by opening doors to new places, perspectives, and ways of understanding complex ideas. This shared exploration is designed to support families as they thoughtfully experiment, reflect, and learn together, creating meaningful experiences that spark curiosity, connection, and discovery.
Here’s what you can expect during this three-month learning adventure:
Required Information Session | February 6 at 11:00 AM
Before committing, families will join us to learn more about the experience, see what participation looks like, and ask questions.
Required Virtual Training | Friday, March 6 from 11:00–1:00 PM
Parents and students will join Homeschool Staff and Elite Tech to learn how to use the VR headset, practice navigating the device, and participate in an introductory lesson designed to build comfort and confidence.
Device Check-Out
Each family will take home a VR device to borrow for the remainder of the school year. Devices will be returned in June.
Three-Month Exploration Period
Families will integrate VR into their learning at their own pace using provided starter apps and self-directed exploration.
Ongoing Support & Collaboration
Weekly optional drop-in tech support
One Zoom session each month for students and parents to engage in VR together, learn new ways to use the technology, and share ideas with other families
Monthly reflection submissions from students and parents highlighting how VR is being used to support learning to help us grow together
