President's Message

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year here at Elisa Nelson Elementary! My name is Liz Jones-Lewis, and I’m excited to serve as your PTA president this

year. My son, Jac, will be a 4th grader, and like many of you, I’m looking forward to a year filled with meaningful connection and fun, student-centered events. As we build on the strong foundation set by past boards, our mission remains constant: to support and advocate for our students, families, teachers, and staff. With

your help, we’ll continue traditions that make ENE special and expand programs that enrich every child’s experience. 

Our community is always at the heart of everything we do, and we plan to continue to support and advocate for all of our students, families, teachers, and staff. This year we will continue to expand on our past successes including:

• Hosting the Blazer Blizzard and Science Exploration Night 

• Providing classroom grants and supporting SEM clusters

• Organizing the PTA Angel Tree

• Restocking FEAST food pantry with a food drive

• Lending our support to school-led events throughout the year, such as Tea for Two, Spooky Story Night, Blazer Gallop, Field Day, and more

• Showing our fantastic staff appreciation throughout the entire school year and spoiling them, as they so truly deserve, during Staff Appreciation Week

• Providing t-shirts for the entire school body which will be used for class field trips and on field day

• Coordinating Spirit Nights

• Back to School Playdate

• Campus Beautification Day

• All Pro Dads

• Providing IXL for grades 3-5

• Safety Patrol Supplies

• Scholastic News for Stude

In the 2026-2027 school year, the PTA plans to do all of this and more! We invite you to become an active participant in the Elisa Nelson Elementary PTA. Membership is the first step and helps to support these initiatives. While we love our volunteers, being a PTA member does not come with a volunteer requirement.

I am really looking forward to diving into my new position and getting to know all of you! On behalf of the entire PTA board, we hope you have an amazing school year and we can't wait to see you on campus!  Go Blazers!
