Elisa Nelson Parent Teacher Association is striving to build on the foundation we've established over the past few years and continue to support and advocate for  our students, families, teachers and staff.  Welcome to our site!

President's Message

Greetings fellow Blazer families!  

It's only early April, but I feel like the end of the school year is rapidly approaching!!  We have had a wonderful year this year and genuinely appreciate all of your support.  We have been able to support the school in so many ways while still beginning to save up for improvements to the PE Field.  We were just treated to viewing all the students have accomplished at student-led conferences and soon will be able to see our students' great work in the second SEM Showcase.  

We still have a few events planned, including two more family education nights.  Towards the end of the month, we'll be celebrating staff appreciation week (a little early to avoid testing) which is one of my favorite times of the year.  Our staff and teachers are so wonderful; we'll have ways for families to contribute to the celebrations closer to time, so be on the lookout.  

On the business front, we invite all members to participate in our elections on 4/18.  Dial-in details are in this newsletter.  The slate of candidates was emailed to members, and we have a couple more candidates running from the floor.  Our elections are a little earlier this year, which will hopefully help us get a jump on summer planning.  We're really hoping to get more families involved and have developed some new ways for volunteers to take on some leadership roles in the PTA.  Be on the lookout for some action over the summer and some committees that will be forming so that we can hit the ground running in August.
