New SME partner, Rotary Engineering, joins the FEMM Hub
We are pleased to announce that Rotary Engineering has joined the Future Electrical Machines Manufacturing Hub as a new SME industry partner.
Rotary Engineering specialise in the manufacture and supply of equipment for the motor rewind and repair sector, and equipment for manufacturing high voltage coils. They supply equipment to customers in the UK and around the world to allow them to efficiently repair motors and generators with semi-automated or mechanically assisted solutions. Their product range also includes equipment to manufacture resin-rich HV coils used in generators up to 1400MW.
Commenting on the new partnership, FEMM Hub Director Professor Geraint Jewell said,
“We are delighted to welcome Rotary Engineering to the Hub. As a local Sheffield SME with a worldwide reputation and pedigree in rewind, repair and coil manufacturing equipment, I am sure the Rotary Engineering will provide valued input and know-how to our on-going research on novel coil manufacturing technologies and our increasing portfolio of research projects on repair and remanufacture.”
