Assignment A1.1 - "Is biology stamp collecting?"
Renowned Physics Ernest Rutherford one said “Physics is the only real science. The rest are just stamp collecting.” So is the study of biology no more rigorous than stamp collecting? Prior to his death in 1937, that may have seemed quite so. But, I think that biology is much different today. In fact, one of my biggest goals for this class is to make the study of biology much more significant than just collecting “stamps”. So, let’s explore what “stamp collecting” actually means and how we can avoid that.
