The Formation Co-Op offers practical, field-tested resources created alongside congregational leaders who are experimenting, listening, and learning in real time. These tools are designed to help leaders reflect more deeply, try new approaches to faith formation, and build a shared language for this work in their communities. Whether you’re just beginning to explore new ways of forming faith with young people or looking to strengthen what you’re already doing, we invite you to engage these resources and join a growing network of leaders learning together.
The Formation Co-Op seeks to root young people in a lifelong, transformative faith in Jesus through life-giving communities. Faith formation is a journey shared with young people, and like any journey, it requires preparation: taking time to consider why you want to go, what you want to pack, where you have been and where you want to go, and who is going with you. These core questions will guide you through these five sessions, providing a shared foundation and common language for faith formation as you embark on this journey to which you have been called.
We encourage you to use this curriculum with youth ministry teams, youth, parents, church councils, Sunday forums, Bible study groups, etc. Feel free to pick and choose which portions to use, and/or adapt as appropriate for your context and audience.
