This section is a collection of FAQs about the course as well as information about how to ask additional questions not found on this page.
Below are frequently asked questions (FAQs) I have received about our course. Expand each of them to find the answer.
The short answer is "no" if you complete the assignments.
You will see there are a fare amount of assignments in our class. These each help build-up to an end-unit project/essay. Therefore, instead of you being asked to submit 1 unit assignment every few weeks, you will be graded-on and helped with the process to complete that assignment.
Students who complete the "process assignments" for each end-unit project/essay will have an easier time with that end-unit project/essay.
Check-out the class schedule on the Home or Syllabus tabs in our Canvas Course. Each unit listed will end with a project or essay.
There are many ways to contact me. Just go to the "Contact Information" tab in this website to find-out how.
If you are not getting the grade you want, look over the feedback you have received on past assignments. Then, reflect on what can be improved. For more information about how to check feedback and tips for reflection, check-out "Lesson: Basic Class Technology" provided under "Wrap Up" in the "Technology Requirements, Access, & Assistance" tab in this website.
After you have pinpointed areas that need improvement, reach-out to resources found under the "Contact Information" and "Help in Our Course" tabs for assistance.
These tabs will be used most often in the course:
Modules: Weekly class content is provided, including items not found in the Calendar or To Do List, such as lessons, texts, explanations, etc.
Grades: Check your grades, review feedback, and create hypothetical grades using the "What-If" feature
Announcements: Tips and updates about the course and campus
Help, Technology, & Contact Info: Questions and help you have about the course and campus will most likely be provided here
Check-out the "Help, Technology, & Contact Info" tab in our Canvas course for help and resources provided by the campus to assist you with reaching your class goals
There aren't as many as it seems. Basically, you are working-on 1 assignment per unit and all the other assignments during that unit are pieces to help you complete that end-unit assignment.
These "process assignments" each help build-up to an end-unit project/essay. Therefore, instead of you being asked to submit 1 unit assignment every few weeks, you will be graded-on and helped with the process to complete that assignment.
Yes. You may get a 1-week's extension from the original due date of any assignment by filling-out an NQA Pass. NQA stands for "no questions asked," meaning you do not need to provide an excuse to receive an extension.
You may access NQA Passes from the Home or Modules tabs. Click on one to read how to submit the pass and about any other guidelines. Submitting an NQA Pass is a simple process.
All due dates will be included in our Canvas course. It will be up to you, though, to figure-out when to start an assignment.
Tip: Read instructions for an assignment days before it is due. That way, you can plan-out when you should complete the assignment.
Tip: Set your Canvas notifications to alert you of due dates through the Canvas Student app, email, etc.
Tip: Check your Canvas Calendar and To Do List (Dashboard and in our course) for upcoming due dates.

A week in our course starts on Monday and ends on Sunday. Assignments are spread-out throughout the week.
Review the "A Typical Week" section of the Class Orientation provided to you in the Home and Modules tabs in our Canvas course.
Do you have a question that isn't listed above? Post it to the "Course Q&A, Success Tips, & General Comments" discussion forum found in the "Course Info & Help" module at the top of the Modules tab or reach-out to me directly through any means listed in the "Contact Information" section of this website.
