What types of gigs does el-live Productions offer?

el-live Productions provides live music performances at 5-star hotels, luxury venues, and exclusive bars across Asia & Middle East. These gigs are designed to offer high-quality entertainment to diverse international audiences, focusing on genres like jazz, pop, R&B, and Top 40.

2. Where are the gigs located?

Our gigs are primarily located across Asia and Middle East, including vibrant cities like Beijing, Seoul, Jakarta, Bangkok, Doha, Manila, and others. The exact location will be discussed during the interview stage and depends on the venue's requirements.

3. What is the typical contract length?

We typically offer contracts of at least 6 months, but we strongly encourage signing a one-year contract to ensure long-term work and opportunities for career growth across multiple venues. This approach provides stability and an immersive experience with el-live Productions.

4. Are travel, accommodation, and meals included?

Yes! el-live Productions covers:

Fully paid round flights to get you there hassle-free.
Comfortable accommodation in modern shared apartments (private bedrooms).
Complimentary meals and laundry.

This package ensures you can focus entirely on your performances without worrying about logistics.

5. What is the salary range?

Competitive salary varies depending on your role, experience, and the specific gig location.

We’ll discuss the exact salary with you during the interview process.

At el-live, we make sure everything is clearly explained before you sign your contract, so you can feel confident and informed!

6. What genres of music should I specialize in to apply?

While we welcome versatile musicians of all styles, having expertise in genres like pop, R&B, Top 40, jazz, and dance music is highly encouraged. These styles resonate well with the upscale venues and audiences we perform for. That being said, we still value your strength genre and please feel free to showcase your musical characteristics in the applications.

7. How soon will I hear back after submitting my application?

We will get back to you within 1 week after receiving your full application. The timeline may also vary based on how many applicants we’re reviewing at the moment. If there’s any delay, we’ll make sure to let you know.

8. How much experience is required to join el-live?

We look for talented and professional musicians with prior experience performing live. While there is no strict minimum, having stage presence, a versatile repertoire, and the ability to adapt to different musical settings is essential.

9. Are there opportunities to grow once I become el-live musician?

Absolutely! el-live Productions offers:

Continuous training in stage presence, wardrobe, and performance standards.

10. Is it possible to work in specific locations I prefer?

While we aim to match performers with suitable venues, placement depends on the availability and needs of our partner venues. Flexibility in location will increase your chances of securing a gig. If you have specific preferences, let us know during the application process, and we’ll take that into consideration.

Application

1. How do I apply for a position at el-live Productions?

You can apply right here https://el-live.com/join-el-live/ by submitting a short summary of your musical background, performance videos, and contact details (be sure your email and phone number are correct). We also recommend sharing your most recent performances that really show off your current skills—videos that are too old don’t give us the best idea of where you're at now.

3. What happens after I submit my application?

Once you apply, we’ll review your materials and get back to you within 1 weeks. Keep an eye on your inbox (and don’t forget to check your spam or promotional folders in case our response ends up there). If everything looks good, we’ll invite you to move forward with an audition.

4. Can I apply again if my profile wasn’t a match this time?

Yes, but we recommend waiting 6 months before reapplying. This allows time to grow and refine your skills.

Audition

1. Is the audition mandatory?

Yes, the audition is a mandatory step in our process. We want to see how you prepare for a gig, how you handle songs that may be outside of your usual repertoire, and how you bring energy to your performance. We’re looking for candidates who reflect our core values: Fun, Professionalism, and Caring.

2. Do I need professional equipment or studio-quality recordings for the audition?

Not at all! You can record your audition at home or in a studio—the setting doesn’t really matter as long as your videos meet a few key requirements:

Clear audio so we can hear your performance.
Good lighting to ensure visibility.
A clean background for a professional look.
Full-body view so we can see your stage presence.

We also encourage you to record as if you’re on stage, including the right attitude and performance attire to showcase your professionalism. Ultimately, please choose the option that is most convenient and budget-friendly for you while still allowing you to deliver a quality audition.

3. How do I submit my audition video?

Once we’ve reviewed your application, we’ll send you detailed instructions on how to submit your audition. Please follow the instructions carefully to make sure we get everything we need.

4. What songs should I perform in my audition?

For your audition, we've already listed the songs we need you to prepare in the audition package. Also, feel free to pick one song of your own choice where you feel you can truly show off your unique personality and style! 😊

5. Can I adjust the audition songs to suit my vocal/instrument range?

Yes, absolutely! We encourage you to adjust the audition songs to suit your vocal or instrumental range while staying true to the essence of the piece. This allows us to see how you interpret and perform the material in a way that highlights your strengths. Feel free to make adjustments that showcase your unique talent while maintaining the core melody or arrangement.

6. What if I can’t submit my audition on time?

No worries! If you can't submit your audition by the deadline, please message us right away.

However, spots are limited and auditions are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Submitting on time gives you the best chance to secure the gig.

Screening

1. What is the screening process?

After the audition, your application will be reviewed by a group of seasoned musicians who have been with el-live Productions for a long time and embody our values. They will assess your musical ability, stage presence, and overall fit with the company.

2. What criteria do you use to evaluate candidates during screening?

For candidate screening, we focus on three key criteria to ensure a great fit for our international gigs:

Musical Skills: We look for musicians that have the excellent musicial skills and genre proficiency (Pop, Top 40, R&B, Classics, etc.) through their videos and auditions.
Professionalism and Vibe: We look for a professional attitude, adaptability, and strong stage presence in the videos.
Commitment to Travel: Candidates must show a clear willingness to commit to working abroad for the full contract duration (minimum 6 months).

Essentially, we look for talent, professionalism, and readiness for a long-term, international commitment.

3. Will I receive feedback on my audition?

Due to the number of applications, we can’t always provide detailed feedback. However, we will let you know whether or not you’ll be moving forward in the process.

4. What happens if my application is kept on the waiting list?

If your application is kept on the waiting list, it means we were impressed by your talent but don’t currently have a gig that matches your skills. We’ll keep your profile on file and will definitely reach out when a suitable opportunity arises.

Interview Stage

1. What should I expect in the interview?

The interview will be 100% online and will give us a chance to get to know you better. If we feel you're a good fit after this first call, we’ll schedule follow-up interviews to discuss contract details, gigs, and the onboarding process.

2. How can I prepare for the interview?

Be ready to chat about your experience, your approach to performing, and how you align with el-live's values. It’s also a great opportunity to ask any questions you have about the role or the team. Please also prepare two reference contacts who can speak about your music career.

3. What topics will be covered during the interview?

We’ll discuss your musical experience, performance style, expectations for the gig, and how you align with el-live's values.

4. When will I know if I got the job?

We usually follow up within a week after the interview. If selected, we’ll move forward with contract discussions and final preparations.
