Certification Program

ReThink Education Certification Program is a 3 month long blended certification program for educators or those who want to shift to the Education Sector. Through 3 months, participants will learn essential skills and build knowledge and mindset required to rethink education. 

Participants will cover 8 modules and 5 hours of classroom training.

This learning experience will equip you to be classroom ready and deliver excellent learning experiences to ALL your students!

• When will the program begin? 

Our first cohort will begin in November 2022.

• Who can join the program? 

In Training Teachers, Existing Teachers looking to up-skill, other professionals looking to shift to education can join the program.

• What is Blended Learning?

The program has 4 key components - Offline in person training, Live Instructor Led Training, Self Paced Learning and Hands on Classroom Experience. 

• How will joining this Program help?

Teaching profession has undergone tremendous changes over the last few years. Teachers are no longer just subject matter experts - rather they help students find their passion, look for ways to inculcate key 21st century skills and plan their lessons such that it is not just about the what but also the why and how of learning. This Program will help equip teachers with the necessary skills to handle all these aspects and more.

• How are the workshops different from the Foundation course training sessions?

The workshops cover short, individual modules over a period of 90 minutes and come in two categories - Free and Paid. Workshop topics will be chosen based on the learning interests of educators who respond to our interest forms.

The Course training, on the other hand, follow a specific structure and will cover topics mentioned above.

• Will the content discussed be specific to what Ekya Schools use?

The content will cover essential elements that any Educator needs to know and will not be specific only to what Ekya Schools use.

• Is there an opportunity to work for Ekya Schools once this course is completed?

Ekya Schools is always on the lookout for great educators and completion of the Foundation Course would be a great stepping stone in understanding the scope of a teacher's role at Ekya. Upon successful completion of the course, you can apply for teaching positions for the next academic year and part-time positions for the current year at Ekya. 

• Will there be scholarships available if we complete the course and take the role of an educator at Ekya?

We will be launching the Intermediate Educator Course as a next level of learning. Upon successful completion of the Foundation Course, and if you are interested in working with us at Ekya, we will provide scholarships for the Intermediate Course. Please note that this will also depend on your skill set and expertise. 

• I am located outside Bangalore. Can I still join in the program? 

Yes, you can. However, you will not be able to attend the 5 hour Classroom Training and will be issued a certificate which mentions 30 instructional hours. The cost of the program will stay the same Rs.5000/-.

• What happens if a live instructor led class is missed?

A recording will be shared and the instructor will be available during Office Hours to answer queries.

• What is the refund policy for workshops?

There will be no refund given once you have registered for the paid workshops.

• What is the refund policy for ReThink Education  Courses?

There will be no refund given once you have registered for a ReThink Course.

• How is this different from B.Ed program?

This is an up skilling course that empowers you with 21st century skills that an educator needs. In contrast to a traditional B.Ed Program that has a theoretical approach, this program focusses on core skills. The focus in on learning by doing and you'll take back concrete actions and strategies you can implement in the classroom for effective learning. You'll build the mindset of an educator and the confidence you need to step in the classroom.
